Simulation and Analysis of Microring Electric Field Sensor Based on a Lithium Niobate-on-Insulator

چکیده

With the increasing sensitivity and accuracy of contemporary high-performance electronic information systems to electromagnetic energy, they are also very vulnerable be damaged by high-energy fields. In this work, an all-dielectric field sensor is proposed based on a microring resonator structure. The designed work at 35 GHz RF using lithium niobate-on-insulator (LNOI) material system. 2.5-D variational finite difference time domain (varFDTD) eigenmode (FDE) methods utilized analyze single-mode condition, bending loss, as well transmission loss achieve optimized waveguide dimensions. order obtain higher sensitivity, quality factor (Q-factor) 106 with total ring circumference 3766.59 μm. niobate layer adopted in z-cut direction utilize TM mode electric sensor, help periodically poled (PPLN) technology, electro-optic (EO) tunability device enhanced 48 pm·μm/V.
